I had an very nice stay at Hotel Villa Gabrisa. The views from my room were absolutely amazing, and the staff were so friendly and warm that I felt right at home. Breakfast was served at the table and was a good experience, although the air conditioning in my room could be a bit noisy at night. Overall, it was a beautiful stay with just a couple of minor criticisms.

Rooms

My attic room was cozy and clean with stunning views, though it could use some decor updates. It was a good value for the time of year.
Service
10.0
The staff were all wonderfully accommodating and attentive. They were excellent in helping with local dining and activities, which enriched my experience.
Location
9.0
The hotel’s location offered gorgeous views and was a bit of a trek to the beach, but I didn't mind the walk, as it added to the charm of Positano.
Dining
10.0
Dining at Da Gabriela was really good; the food quality rivaled Michelin-starred establishments, and breakfast each morning was perfect.
Facilities
9.0
The hotel offered great amenities, including a lovely outdoor space to enjoy the views and a turn-down service that added a special touch.

6.4/10

My stay at Villa Gabrisa had its highlights, particularly the amazing views from our room, which were simply stunning. However, the location was misleading; it felt quite far from the main attractions, and getting to the beach was more strenuous than advertised. Dining was also disappointing, with average food served near noisy traffic. Overall, while the views were a major plus, the overall experience fell short of expectations.

Rooms
6.0
The junior suites were reasonable in quality but a bit dated and in need of refurbishment. My room had an amazing view, though ants on the terrace were a nuisance.
Service
6.0
While some staff were friendly, the level of service felt inconsistent, especially during busy times. It was clear they were understaffed at peak hours.
Location
5.0
The location was not as convenient as advertised; it was a challenging trek to the beach, taking us longer than expected, and the surroundings were noisy with traffic.
Dining
5.0
Dining at the hotel was not enjoyable; the food was overpriced and average, especially compared to much better options found elsewhere in Positano.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel offered some useful amenities, but overall, they did not compensate for the other drawbacks we experienced.

I had a lovely stay at Hotel Villa Gabrisa, enjoying its cozy atmosphere and amazing views of Positano. While the first room I saw was a bit tired, upgrading made a big difference, and the stunning sea views from my new room were fantastic. The only downside was that the restaurant was closed during my visit, which was disappointing. Overall, I would still recommend the hotel for its friendly staff and warm welcome.

Rooms
8.0
The junior suite I stayed in was spacious and clean, featuring an amazing terrace with beautiful sea views. The decor was elegant, and the high curved ceiling added charm. However, I did find that the first room I was shown looked somewhat shabby, prompting me to pay for an upgrade.
Service
10.0
The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially Giada and Claudia, who went out of their way to help me navigate the area. Their personalized service made my stay much more enjoyable.
Location
8.0
The hotel is situated a short walk from the main beach, which I appreciated as it kept me away from the bustling crowds. The views from the hotel were stunning and provided a picturesque backdrop throughout my stay, though it is essential to wear comfortable shoes for the walk.
Dining
7.0
Unfortunately, the hotel restaurant was closed during my stay, which was disappointing. However, I had experienced delicious dining at other places nearby, and the breakfast offerings at the hotel were varied and well-presented when I enjoyed it previously.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offered several useful facilities including efficient luggage handling and a shuttle service, which enhanced my convenience during my stay. However, I found the access points like the elevator to be a bit cramped, which could be improved.

5.6/10

My stay at Hotel Villa Gabrisa had its highs and lows. The views were truly amazing, as promised, and the staff, particularly Giada, went above and beyond with their friendly service. However, I was disappointed with the overall value for money, especially when it came to the room size and location, which felt more isolated than expected. The dining experience was pleasant but could have been better, given the expectations set by other reviews.

Rooms
5.0
I booked a superior room with a view, but it felt much smaller than what I anticipated from the website. The cleanliness was good, but overall it lacked the spaciousness I expected.
Service
8.0
The service from Giada was really good; she recommended amazing wine and food. However, there were moments when the reception felt a bit overwhelmed, impacting the overall service experience.
Location
6.0
The hotel has a stunning view of Positano, but it’s quite a trek to the beach and main areas of the town. I found it a bit challenging to get to popular spots, as the hotel is located on a steep hill away from the hub.
Dining
7.0
Dining at the hotel offered lovely views, but the food, while not bad, didn’t quite live up to the high expectations set by other guests. Some meals felt overpriced for the quality.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel was well-kept and offered nice amenities, though I felt some areas could use an update. The turn-down service was a nice touch that I appreciated.

I had an extraordinary stay at Hotel Villa Gabrisa, where the amazing views and attentive service truly stood out. However, I noticed that the travel to the beach required a bit of a walk or using the internal bus, which might not be ideal for everyone. Overall, it felt like a home away from home, but the climb may pose a challenge for some guests.

Rooms
10.0
My Junior suite was expansive and modern, with an impressive balcony and a relaxing hot tub. The room was kept impeccably clean and the decor added to the authentic Italian charm.
Service
10.0
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful (shout out to Claudia and Carolina!) and made sure all my requests were handled promptly, even before I arrived.
Location
8.0
While the hotel is situated higher up the cliff, offering stunning views, it also means a steeper walk down to the main parts of Positano. I relished the peace away from the hustle, although some may find the distance to the beach inconvenient.
Dining
9.0
Dining at the hotel's restaurant was a highlight, with beautiful views that enhanced every meal. Breakfast featured a good variety and was beautifully laid out each morning.
Facilities
9.0
The hotel offered great amenities like a turn-down service and well-maintained outdoor spaces, which added to the comfort throughout my stay.
